The sweepstakes of getting Jiri Hudler on your NHL team are over, thanks to the Dallas Stars.
Yes. Star’s general manager, Jim Nill has signed Hudler to a one-year, $2 million contract.
Now, it is not that Nill needs some more scorers on the team’s roster, but it shows he is not afraid to make the Stars better.
Last season, Hudler had a mediocre season, compared to 2014-15, where he had career highs in goals (31), assists (45) and points (76).
However, I feel that being on a roster with Jamie Benn, Hudler’s statistics are going to improve this upcoming season.
Senators Re-Sign Ceci
Here’s something that is making me scratch my head a bit.
Despite having three mediocre seasons with the Ottawa Senators, the team has just re-signed Cody Ceci to a two-year, $5.6 million contract extension.
In 2015-16, Ceci just had 26 points in 75 games.
Is that worth $5.6 million.
You be the judge.
