USA’s Women’s National Team Dominates Spain in Finals: 101 – 72

The USA’s Women’s National Basketball team obtained a thrilling victory in the finals over their Spanish opponents, dominating with a score of 101 – 72. This victory marks the sixth consecutive gold medal for the Americans, and the first Olympic medal for the Spaniards in the history of their Women’s Basketball team.

The Americans were led by Diana Taurasi, who recorded 17 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals on 5/7 shooting from behind the arc; Lindsay Whalen, who recorded 17 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds; and Maya Moore, who recorded 14 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.

The Spaniards were led by Alba Torrens, who had an impressive performance with 18 points, 4 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 steals, but was unfortunately unable to lead Spain to victory.

The exciting and dominating play of the undefeated American Women was certainly breathtaking, but all eyes will be on the American Men as they hope to replicate the undefeated run by the American Women against Serbia tomorrow at 2:45 pm EST.
